It's slow at work today, so I'm gonna take this opportunity to vent a little on the valley, where I work. First off, it's hot over on this side of the hill. And dusty. No ocean breezes to push the smog out towards San Berdoo. And there is always, always road work, at least in this corner of the valley (near Burbank). Don't get me wrong, the valley's ok (I don't want hate mail from a bunch of content Studio City-ites). There's good hiking in Coldwater Canyon. There's a big Target in Sherman Oaks. Burbank has a huge new AMC theater complex. And, um....well, it's hot.  ¶ 1:11 PM
